i have a remington 870 now and thinking of upgrading to a semi. the three that I have been drawn to are the browning silver, maxus and the winchester sx3. my biggest problem is the rumors of how semis frequently jam and fail to edject. i hunt a ride variety from rabits rite up to geese. Is it possible to find a semi that will edject the walmart winchester target loads and the higher end 3.5s. looking for a semi that can do it all no b.s

bought a Beretta extrema II with kick off about a month ago. mine will cycle even the cheapest rounds with no problem. A little on the pricey side but you will never have issues with it.

I own the browning gold, maxus and the winchester sx3 all three work fine but I don't use walmart shells but they have no problems with 3 1/2" and sts or AA 1 oz target loads.
If I had to keep just one it would be the maxus. Shoulder each if you can before you buy also since I find they all fit differently

I have the Maxus and love it. It fit me perfect. BIL has the silver and loves it..............Picked up my Maxus in Lewisporte...best price(never pay sticker!), best service!

Love my Maxus...have had it for two hunting seasons now....haven't had one problem. Cycles everything, shoulders perfect for me, and easy to clean. Have to pick out the one that feels best for you but certainly keep the Maxus and for that matter the SX3 on the list.

Two words. Baikal MP 153. I think that is two words. Mine eats everything.

Good to hear that you're still happy with that Baikal, they are very hard to beat for the price.

To the OP, all three of the guns you're looking at have an excellent reputation for quality and reliability. I'd pick the one that fits best, and has the features and looks that you're after. Maybe look at the Berettas aswell, they aren't too far out of that price range if you shop around.

mp153 does not eat everything with no problems. need time, like more then 100 rounds magnum shall be used before you can take it to the range and shoot trap. otherwise unit does not eject the shell...regulation does not help.

very hard decision ! i WANT them all. gona shoulder a few soon a make a decision. leaning towards the browning because i shoulderd one befor and liked it. i just want it to be relibale and cycle well. i dont want to spend 1200 on a gun and then not cycle amunition. I dont have alot of faith in semi s anyway so im keeping my 870 to back it up lol

I have a browning maxus, great gun, no issues. It cycles everything from the cheap target load to the heavy 3 1/2 waterfowl loads, haven's got a jam yet.
