Hi All
Let me start with this. If you are here to trash all optics made in China then move on. Some of us have limited budgets or firearms that we plink with that don't require top end glass. Yes there is a lot of garbage coming from the PRC but some of us including myself have had some pleasant experiences with PRC optics.
My examples would be a $270.00 SPARC II red dot by Vortex that I have on my M4. Another would be the long eye relief $50.00 AIM 2-7x32 scout scope on my SKS plinker. Then there is the $60.00 Bushnell Rimfire 3-9x32 I picked up for my .22. All of these though not the best glass or most feature rich have served me well. They all have solid mounts and hold zero.

I would like to know what worked for you? Scope, red dot or magnifier.

Simmons 22 Mag I use a lot on rimfires....$50 scope. Anything over $100 I'm looking at Philippines or Japanese at minimum.

I've had a Barska ridgeline 3-9 x 42 on a .270 for about 8 years now and the damn thing holds zero great, even gave it a good smack on a rock while lowering from a treestand and it never moved at all. I was just getting back into shooting after a long hiatus away and never knew what to look for or stay away from but this one has been good.

UTG
3-9x32mm AO
4-16x50mm AO
8-32x56mm SFAO
No problems
The 8-32mm is dim at high mag but OK at <28X
They have been used on scope destroying airguns as well as powderburners.
Not Leupod etc. but they work.

Anyone try the Simmons predator/varmint scopes?

Made in China of course, but SAIL has the 4.5-18x44 on for $129....looked through it in the store and it was OK, not earth shattering brightness, but it was clear enough and eye relief was pretty good. Like looking through a Korean made Banner....
$30 mail in rebate on these too.

I picked up one of those Simmons....for $99 after the MIR and looking through it in the store it seemed passable. Mounted it on a 6.5x55 target rifle and will see how well it does. None of that "Predator Quest" crap on this one, 30mm tube, side parallax, sunshade, and 18x that is actually useable....hope it doesn't fall apart lol.
