Hello all I'm looking to find one grain bullet to use in my 308 rifles, I'm having a hard time deciding between 175 and 180, if love to have a hunting and target in 175, but I have no idea lol.
Also does anyone find any difference between 170 and 175?

A 1:10 twist will handle any conventional bullet, up to 220 gr.

It will also shoot 150s just fine.

So just choose whatever bullet you think appropriate for the task. For target shooting, a 175 is a good choice.

For hunting with a 308, I use a 180 because that one weight of bullet will take care of moose and is not too destructive on deer.

Twist has no significant effect on accuracy. The other variables are far more important, like barrel quality and bedding.

Thanks guys, I used 180s on my moose 2 years ago, got her, and MartyK2500, where do you get yours, budget shooting supply is the only place I know that carries them, I'm shuddering at the price mind you haha, I still thinks it's a bit high

I just looked at the Budget shooter supply and his price on them is very competitive, got some good discounts compared to retail stores
I get all mine from Jerry (purchased over 5x 500 boxes by now), but don't expect to have a ton shaved off of budget supply pricing.
Send him an email and compare
