What pistol to get?

You have to handle a pistol first before buying...don't limit yourself to pistols that you're told to buy here...look at as many different brands and types of pistols as possible, and go with the pistol that fits you best, and feels right in your hand. Trust your instincts.

Good advise - also dont just go with what fits your hand - shoot the thing also.

An HK usp fits my hand like a glove and the trigger is excellent postition - dont have to reach like a sig or cz but I shoot it like crap. I think the barrel rests too high for me so I limp wrist a lot with that pistol.

My CZ sp01 shoots like a dream.

try before you buy for sure; beretta, sig and cz all fit me well, but HK on the other hand feels like a 2"x4"... you may want/like a gun but only till you actually handle it...
