What powder & primers do YOU prefer for 9mm?

I use clays powder. I get it from Higginson ( 21lbs = free shipping). Winchester or CCI primers what ever they have in stock. I’m not picky when it comes to primers for my pistol. But I will not use federal primers I found that they suck. Out of 10k had about 100 that never went off.

I've aslo had good results with Titegroup and Winchester primers. It's a pretty versatile powder and inexpensive.

HS6 and 124's or 147's. Frontiers of course.

Loaded for a push rather than a snap.

I like Federal primers but use CCI's too. I've had too many problems with Winchester SP primers but not with their LP primers.

Thanks for the info guys! Keep it comin'!

Looks like a lot of you like Titegroup...

What about Bullseye, heard over the weekend that this was the stuff for 9mm. Anyone use it? Why or why not??

231 mainly because I have lots of it right now. winchester primers- cheapest at our local Le barons. (when they have them of course). I'm surpirsed someone above reported having FTFs with Federals i fund the opposite, and save them for PPPC loads with light revolver hammer strikes.

I use win 231 or bullseye with winchester primers

I had 7lbs of 231 for free and 9 lbs of bullseye for free i out of 231 now and useing the bullseye for awhile and like it in my 9mm and my .380 autos

Presently using Unique with any make of primer & never had a failure with Federal.

You get some oil, from your hands, not your normal skin oil, but from something else your were doing, on any make of primer & they will fail.

But have used HP-38, Winchester 231, to even Green Dot.
