what rifle 6.5 creedmoor

Finally decided I'd like a 6.5 Creedmoor big toss up on 6.5 x .284 and 6.5 x 55 but I'm holding out for the Creedmoor not a whole lot of options on rifles. Mostly to just be punching paper any suggestions.
 
I think ruger makes one.

I'm getting a 6.5 creedmoor target rifle built using a Remington 700 SS short action.
 
Save up the extra 1000.00 don't buy a Savage ( Buy once....... cry once) and give Sean a call at Northshore. Pretty sure he will build you what you want for a great price. The only problem with the Creedmore will be brass, not that difficult to get, but depends on how much brass prep you want to do. Keep this in mind. Lapua makes .260 Rem and 6.5/47 brass and both have the same ballistics as the Creedmore. Good luck.

That's right...and a FACTORY 700, A Bort, Trainwreck hater too. No reason why they should be in these forums they should be in the hunting rifle forums, but if you had your heart set on a Savage why ask for help. Good luck with your build.
 
The Savage 12 LRP is not a very friendly hunting rifle. It weighs 11lbs without a scope. The LRP stands for long range precision so why should it not be in this forum.
 
Because it's the same drawn out discussion here, you have maybe 4 factory choices for a so called precision rifle. Not one is any better than the other. Pick one.........if you don't want to spend the extra bit for a hand built why bother posting here. Hence go check out the hunting forums.
 
Nobody in the the hunting forum will have an LRP with its HS Precision stock, heavy barrel and accu target trigger. I'm not really understanding your post other than your dislike for factory guns.
 
An HS stock, accu trigger, and heavy barrel WOW. Nobody hunts with those.......lol. You have still yet to tell me why any one factory rifle is a better choice than the other. Still awaiting the dead horse awnser.

This really has turned into the boredom forums section.
 
I'm sorry my comprehension skills must be getting rusty, I admitted to not understanding your post. I certainly did not see in your post were you asked me to disprove your assertion that all factory rifles are the same and as such unworthy of being discussed in the precision rifle forum. The precision rifle forum which I note is not called the custom rifle forum.

And yes not many people hunt with a Target Accutrigger.
 
If I was doing a ground up build I would definitely look at a Savage target action.
 
Kinda funny not being a hunter there's no reason to be in the hunting forum I'm not looking for a hunting rifle just a decent paper puncher for a guy on a budget. I was just asking what any if anybody has used and in there experience what they liked. I like the idea of an odd caliber that I can reload myself and have fun experimenting with. I'm not gonna drop a ton at this point on a custom set up and the remingtons and savages that I own all shoot fine for me. I'm kinda limited to hardware selection as I think it just Ruger, Savage and Browning at this point. Nobody has any at this point and its about 4 months to get one brought in as I was told today go figure, and I could easily go to 7mm and have more punch and way more choices but then theres also 25-06 and 257 roberts also but its been done. Thanks for the input.
