what rifle to get

go to the gun store and they'l let you handle them and buy the one that feels best to you. Bolt actions live forever and with the way the economy is there are sh#t loads of used guns. As far as caliber goes, what are you using it for...no use paying $1 or more a bullet if your just shooting paper targets

Savage hands down especially if you get the accutrigger. It is worth its weight ten times in gold. For sure go to a store and handle a few guns to see what they feel like. Everyone told me laminate stock and bull barrells are too heavy, well I like the weight and am not a small guy. Buy what feels right.
 
Well i went with the Savage 111FCXP3 Long Action · Caliber / Cal. - 30-06 removable mag and simmons scope, no accutrigger maybee on the next one.
