I forget what they are called but the bases are made to fit a small scope from Bell to eye piece. I got them for my Compact scope, on a Long actioned gun.

You should change them if you are are putting a full size scope on because you will have more strength.

Call Western Gun Parts, they deal with Warne and will get you a better deal then anyone else and thier shipping is FAST!

What you have on your rifle are Leupold STD (standard mount) rings and bases. The front base is a dovetail that requires you to turn it 90 degrees to one side or the other to remove it. Don't use your scope to turn the ring as sometimes it is a very tight fit and could damage your scope (use Leupold ring wrench. padded wrench or steel bar). The rear is adjustable for windage so you turn the flat head screws on the side in or out as required. The base you have in front is reversible so with a longer scope you can turn it around and have it extend to the front as opposed to the rear as it is shown in your photo. The STD mount Leupold 30 mm rings are fairly common (at least in our store) and go for $61. These come in various heights from low to super high. If you can't find them locally then call or PM me and I will help you out. Phil.

Aren't those Leupold Standard bases with a reversable front? Standard front bases are shorter and have the dovetail between the screw holes, don't they? I have a set in my toolbox but I'm far from home right now so I can't check.

Some trivia - I can't read the fine print on the ring (or base) in your picture but your original question was "what ring style is this" ... the front dovetail/rear windage screw(s) attachment for rings was originally introduced by "Redfield" - I presume that once that patent was over, others (eg Leupold) followed the design fwiw.

And here I thought that I was the last one left that called them Redfield pattern. Calling them that, seems to confuse the hell out counter staff, so you have to run a seminar just to get a set of bases handed to you. I quit fighting it after awhile.
