What Rings actually fit the Toz-78?

I know a lot of you here have bought the Russian made Toz-78 and have put a scope on it. It appears the gun is grooved for 11mm dovetail rings. So what I'm wondering is exactly what scope rings will work on this particular gun and where can you purchase these? Millett brand works right? I know I can clamp an el-cheapo Crosman red dot sight on but that's basically an insult to the gun.

I already know what WON'T work. And it's the BKL 257 rings from Eric Brooks. And the Weaver Mount Adapters for the CZ-452 won't clamp on either! However, these accessories do work beautifully on my CZ-452 Varmint.

Comparing the CZ-452 to the Toz-78 it appears that the Toz-78 has much shallower dovetail grooves.

I used the 22LR Burris signature series and they fit nicely on mine. The rail is an odd size. I think it's 9mm from what I recall so it's closer to 3/8 than 11mm

Thanks Speckfire. That makes more sense now. 9mm is an even smaller size then a 3/8 which converts to somewhere just over 9.5mm. Now I can see why a ring that works on a 3/8 or 11mm may not clamp tightly enough on the 9mm size of the Toz-78.

So the 9-11mm mounts from Illingworth Imports should work too?

Np K98, What worries me is that the rail on the Toz-78/99 is slightly arched. These rings that you want to buy appear to have a flat base. I will buy those Illingworth rings for my LOS-7 rifle. It has a flat rail.

Not sure where to get the Burris Signature .22 rings yet but LE BARON seems to be one place that carries them.

For anyone that's interested the 9-11mm Hawke mounts from Illingworth Imports also work too. I ordered the HM6106 MATCH MOUNT 1" 9-11MM HIGH They do fit snugly over the rail even with the flat base. Lot's of clearance over the rear sight! A 6-24x50mm scope will even work with lot's of room to spare.
