Curious to hear what scope and ring combos others Coopers are wearing. I have a Varminter in .223 wearing a Leupold VX3 6.5-20 with Leupold low standard rings. Objective is 50 mm I think.

Waiting on a Jackson Game in 280AI and I'm thinking of a Zeiss HD5 in 2-10x 42mm or 3-15x 42mm. Not sure what rings.

Here's the Varminter in .223

5 shot group with Remington 55gr SP factory load. The one shot was a flyer. I knew it would be off the microsecond it pulled the trigger. My fault.

I have Ken Farrell rings and bases, topped with A Zeiss 4.5x14x50................she is solid as a rock!

My model 52 wears leupold rings and an old bushnell 3200 4-12 x 40 I had lying around, It was suposed to be temporary but still lives on the cooper. I hoping to put a new ziess HD5 5-25x 50 on it

My 52 Classic in 30-06 is wearing a VX3 3.5-10 x 40 with CDS, Leupold PRW bases, and low Burris Z rings. There isn't anything overly flashy or magical about caliber, rifle, scope or mounting but you'd be hard pressed to find anything wrong with any of them.

My 56 Western Classic in 7 STW is ordered with colour case hardened Talleys, in the hopes that some magic is stuffed in box with them. Plan on putting a 4.5-14 VX3 on it.

If there is any chance you've got a photo of the setup I'd love to see it. How high are the rings to accomodate the 50mm objective?
My main computer just fried and I'm using my lap top at the moment. Once the main computer is up and running I will post some photo's.

As per your request here is a recent photo of the set-up. The base is 20 MOA and the rings are of medium height.

My Copper custom Classic 57-M(custom shop) has no scope , but I did just order a set of Talley bases and there peep sight , so I can put a peep to see how much more accurate I can be, compared to my Express sights. I tryed to order my gun not D&T'd, but was impossible at the time, I here now it is an option. My gun will never where a scope, as that is why I ordered it with open sights, just wish there was a factory peep sight option, that would have been a great extra!
Nice to see everyones Coopers! Keep them coming, Dale Z!

My Cooper Model 22 Varmint Laminate in 6mm Rem is wearing a Burris Black Diamond 6.5X20X50 in standard Leupold dovetail rings and mounts. I just used it to shoot a 69gr Berger into a fox at 600+ yds so I would say the setup is quite solid and accurate.

Track, that is a heck of a nice setup! I've since discovered that if you order a Cooper from the factory they will now put on Talley or Warne (Weaver style) bases at your request. I've asked for the Warne bases to be added to my 280AI that I am waiting on.

My Cooper has a set of Talley light weights and is topped with a Leupold vx-3, 3-9x40 with CDS dial. Just put a nice leather Cooper sling on it and it looks sweet! Cheers roscoe

I will suggest one thing, if you choose to go with Leupold rings, take them out of the package and inspect them, before you leave the store. I picked up my new Cooper, drove almost 600km home, and then discovered that one ring was not drilled or tapped, making it totally useless. So much for Leupold quality control.

Heck I was hoping to get PR to install the rings and scope and bore sight it for me. Around here any store you buy a rifle from will do this. I don't know if this is harder because they will be shipping it. Then again, I just had another Cooper shipped from a private sale and the seller cut out room for the scope and rings and it was still sighted perfectly.

Given how good Clay has been at customer service, I'm guessing he will do this, but I will ask.
