what rings

I have a rem 700 LA with weaver bases. I want to mount a 3-9 x 50 leupold. What rings would i need

I think you need high rings for a 50mm objective.

It depends on the barrel contour, length of scope and how you need it positioned.
I need scopes pushed as far forward as possible, and can often fit a 50 mm in low rings. The odd time I can mount the scope, but can't open the bolt, which pisses me off to no end. Always seems to be on a European rifle.
