what rings?

Hey Guys.

Im pretty green when it comes to setting up a rifle so I am hoping you can help with ring selection.

I just purchased a Bushnell Elite 4-16x40 scope and I am ordering a Tikka Varmint in 204. Any recomendations for rings/height would be appreciated.
Is there a way to figure out height without physically trying ring? I want the scope as low as possible.

A 40 mm scope will need medium rings. Of of all the rifles Ive owned and currently own I always use Burris Signiture Zee rings. No need to lap your rings and the polymer inserts protect the finish of your scope. They also add the option of shimming if you want more elevation or windage. They are very reasonable to buy at around $50. You can use weaver bases with them.
