I have a mint condition Remington 700 Classic s/s 257 Roberts
with a Leupold 3.5x10. Fired 20 times. What's it worth? New to Canada.
Thanks.

Best $ is to sell separately. Probably in the neighbourhood of 400 for the scope and somewhere around 650-700 for the rifle. FWIW.

What model of Leupold? Older Vari X-II or Vari X-III or newer VX-II or VX-III? Since the SPS rifles came out, prices of 700s have come down on the used market. Hard to get $800 for a used rifle when you can buy a New one for $500.00. Most guys don't look at the difference in quality in terms of polishing, blued finish vs. matte black finish and nice piece of wood, vs. mass produced plastic stocks. So you have the choice of eating the loss or keeping the rifle. If your rifle is stainless, you should have a little better luck selling it. It isn't a limited editon "Classic" though. However, the .257 Roberts has a following, so one of those guy will probably snap it up quickly.

Thanks for the reply. It's stainless with long action. Made in 2001 I think.
Please explain to me, and others, how you got to own a one of a kind SS 257R Classic made in 2001.

I would be very interested in this rifle with a bit more info.

Where are you located and where was the rifle purchased :?:
