I have a Weaver Classic K6 on my .223 Handi-Rifle. I'm going to switch to a Classic V9 (3-9x) for that option to use lower magnification. The coyote in my garden at 05:00 a couple days ago was less than four yards away and all I could see in the scope picture was blur of fur. (Point-and-shoot worked fine, but I shouldn't have assumed that no coyote will ever give me an opportunity less than hundreds of yards.)
What scope features do you use for coyotes?

Started out with a weaver 6x on a Rem 788 in 22-250 back in the 70's. Worked fine. Moved on to bigger, fancier, more powerful variables. I'm not sure that I gained much except for ballistic type reticles. - dan
