I’m in the process of rebarreling my 22-250 to a 1-8 twist 22 creed. I really like the little Zeiss 4.5-14x44 scope I had on the 22-250 but want something with an moa reticle. I was thinking of getting a NF SHV 4-14x56 MOAR but don’t want to have a 56mm objective and have to put a cheek riser on it.
Requirements are -
SFP
MOA reticle
Max 44mm objective
Less than $2000
Prefer a zero stop or locking turrets

What would you guys buy that meets what I want?

While not SFP... the Arken EPL-4 6-24x or 4-16x is such a solid performer, with a great reticle (the VHR MOA in your case) that it's really hard to justify spending $2000 or even $1000.

I have 4 of these and for my eyes, they beat out everything except the highest tier glass out there... even NF.

I have the shv 5-20x56. I smoked coyotes with it all winter long last year and a few were past 600y. After abusing it and dialing all winter teaching myself how to shoot long range the zero was dead center. That would be my vote for sure. My tikka has a rail and I believe I only have low (0.90 vortex pro rings) does not require a scope riser. My front objective clearance is about 1/8 of an inch.

My coyote rig wears a SHV 3-10x42 with MOAR reticle. Mounted up on the proprietary Tikka rail in Warne mediums. I made a zero stop out of a small bit of plastic pipe and slipped it under the elevation turret (complete write up on that other forum) Not sure what ranges you work with, but I’ve found x10 is perfect out to 500yrd.

Ive personally 2 Arkens take a dump.

Id have to msg my buddies, both purchased in the last year. I know they both had higher magnification models.
The post was ive personally seen 2 arkens take a dump.

I know both got replaced, and the replacement preformed fine. One was on a 308, one was on a 22lr.
