What scope for Lee Enfield #4

I have a #4. Mk1 that was "sporterised" when I got it. I just picked up a S and K mount with 1 inch rings. They are the 1165 style on this site www.thecountryshed.com/enfield_scop...
I am looking for your advise as to what kind of scope would work best for shooting up to 200 yards.

I have a sporterized Lee Enfield that is getting scoped as well. For its age and condition it is quite accurate, but 200 meters would be my limit too. After talking to quite a few members of my club, I have reached the conclusion that a high powered scope is not what is required. I am curently looking at variable power scopes in the 1-5 power and 2-7 power. I have a budget for the scope of about 250-300$ all in. I want a scope that has a lifetime warranty, with a service centre here in Canada. To the best of my knowledge, the only producer that has one is Redfield/Leopold. Their 2-7 scopes have 34 and 33mm objective lenses, both have one inch tubes so I am able to use low rings and not come anywhere near the barrel. The only concern, could be the sight picture. On lower power I think the iron sights might be in the sight picture, I am reluctant to remove the sights, as it may be irreversable, so may have to go to higher rings if I can maintain a good cheek weld. Others may have different thoughts.
 
I use a Redfield Revolution 3x9x40m on my Enfields. I do use medium rings and a removable cheek riser. All said and done it works great.
My mount is the ATI version that sits in the receiver. The S&K I believe sits further up on the rear sight. you may need a scout scope for that. I have a scout scope on my Winchester 94. it is a Hi-Lux optics 2x7 and it also works great. Cost me 199.00 plus tx for the scope.
 
Thanks for the info guys. I just got the mount so it's not installed yet. The instructions tell me that the rear site needs to be removed and the S and K mount sits in that location. So I just measured from the rear site mounting screw to the top of the rings and it's about 2 inches. From this description ironsite can you tell me if a Redfield Revolution scope would work?
I am fairly new to shooting and scoping rifles is way above my pay grade right now so I appreciate the input. Now when is come to a scout scope I'm not sure. I know they sit further away from the eye as you said on your Winchester 94, but I'm not sure how that would work in my situation. By the way, I too have a 94 and I didn't know it could be scoped. Do you have a picture?
 
Bushnell have a lifetime warranty. The repair center is in Toronto, and they give excellent service.

When hunting, I usually find I have a zoom set to around 3X. A fixed power scope of 2.5 to 4X would work well for hunting.

I prefer a zoom, so i can develop loads for the rifle with the scope set to 9X.

My favourite hunting scopes are 2 -7 zooms. Not quite as big as a 3-9.

If the scope mount is in front of your receiver then the eye relief is to far the Redfield and you may have to choose a scout scope like the Hi-Lux. I would never recommend Bushnell scopes as I have never had good experience with them. Here is a pic of the 30-30 Winchester with the Pearson no gun smith mount and Hi-Lux 2x7 scope.

So from what I gather a Bushnell 3-9, 2-7 or something similar in Redfield for the LeeEnfield will work just fine.

i have a fixed 4x on my bubbaed lee and no issue to hit the chicken at 200 meters.

this is an old bushnell made in japan.

BUM nails it again.
