I honestly don't see the point of iron sights on a 7RM used at ranges of 100-400 yards.

Vortex has the new Diamond back HP scopes....1" tube, side focus, BDC reticle, covered adjustable turret, with 80-90 Moa adjustment, full lifetime warranty....500.00 or less. Would be a nice scope on a 7 RM.

VX3 2.5-8X36, with the Boone and Crockett reticle. Awesome, relatively light, very bright, and the reticle actually works very well.

My M 700 in 7 Rem Mag wears a Leupold VX 3 2.5-8 X in Leupold rings and bases. It's the perfect scope for the caliber IMO.
