Hey guys,
I just finished my build and was wondering what scopes you suggest. I just got back from the rage and test fired it with my Bushy rimfire scope (cheapy). It grouped in the size of a quarter 25 rds rapid bench rest at 50m so I am pretty damn happy:dancingbanana:

What do you suggest for a decent hunting (grouse) scope with a nice big eye relief, flip caps are a must and it can cost me over $200ish

Thanks in advance...Pics of the build to come

Mueller APV 4.5-14x40 AO. Its good to have variable power for different shooting scenarios. You don't want to be trying to follow a small critter up close with a fixed 10x. Its like having tunnel vision.

Bushnell 3200 10X fixed power Mildot might be worth a look. Simple, robust, good glass for the money, and in your price range.

Along these lines I have a Bushnell 3200 5-15x "tactical". Works great for popping frying pans with my 22lr at 200 yards. Makes tiny holes at 25 and 50 yards. Good scope for the money.

Edit: FACK - I didn't read our whole post - this one would not be good for grouse......sorry...with the sunshade it's half the length of the rifle...
