What scope for stag arms model 6?

So I'm waiting to pick up my stag model 6R.
Can anyone recommend a scope? I'll be mostly shooting 200 to 300 yards, from a bench, with a little prone and offhand as well. I've been looking at the Sightron SIII 1-7X24 and I like it, but It's a little spendy. My budget is $500...ish
 
The Stag 6 is a target rifle.

4-14x minimum, with the Falcon being the lowest priced solution I would consider. I would personally go 6-20x. Frankly the scope I would pick for that rifle would either be a Zeiss Conquest 6-20x 50mm with Rapid Z varmint reticle (if you can find one for a good price), or Sightron SIII 6-24x with the new MOA reticle.

1-7x would be for a 16" barreled rifle. Or maybe 18" DMR rifle. The 1x isn't really a selling point for a 24" barreled target rifle.

$500 limit makes it pretty tough. The best you could do for that Would probably be a used Bushnell Elite 4200 (Do not go for the 3200), or a new Falcon. Looking at your all around use I'd say the 4-14x would work. The Falcon is decent but it has drawbacks such as 94% light transmission which is good but not up there with the 95% plus of higher end scopes.
