If the "45 days" is not business day only, I am pass that. Should I call the CFO office once a week, say on Friday/next Monday?

Chill and again it's a privalege not a right in this country. Your saving your hard earned money at this point. Happy and safe shooting sooner or later!----Dieseldog!

I'm pretty sure the 45 days is a guideline and not an absolute d-date.

That being said, can never hurt to give a quick call and see if there's anything you can help with to push things along.

And don't forget to be courteous.

You have probably noticed that a lot of business entities use feedback as a measure of service delivery. The client has the opportunity to rate their service. This has the benefit of allowing the service provider to take pride in their work and also to alert management of staff performance issues or systemic problems. There can be many reasons for inadequate service and feedback provides a means to identify issues that require resolution.

It is time that the government put in place methods of providing feedback.

An opportunity for continuous improvement. A win-win for all.

Maybe because I am afraid all the good guns will be gone by the time I got the PAL?

If I were you I would call tomorrow about an hour after they open. When you do call be very courteous and pleasant with them.

Yes. "Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date. " And I know it's in BC CFO right now.

At some point in the next few days or weeks, one of your references will get a call from the RCMP asking about what kind of person you are.
If you have chosen wisely and that reference answers the phone and is nice, you will get your licence approved shortly after that.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to worry about the supply of SKS drying up within the next few weeks.

In fact, I'd bet you that Norinco m305...

You are experiencing a common buyers impatience phenomenon. I went to a local gun store and told them my RPAL had not been issued yet
and asked if they would let me buy stuff and keep it in the back room for me. A good business man in a small store will grab at a chance to
make a customer happy this way. In the end it was silly for me to have done all that but it was burning me up waiting. Better to wait to
get your PAL and then you get to try out each item before buying more stuff.

45 days is nothing, my coworker waited 7 months and that was an ex military member with no record as well RCMP security checks are running 20 weeks in some cases so hold your horses.

And Justin trudeau will smarten up and be more friendly to gun owners.

HAHAHA You forgot he's a Liberal.

If your so worried then... give you money to a pal holding friend and get them to pay and hold till you get your license. I waited 28 days but that was awhile ago.

Give them a call. Be polite, and hold your tongue. They have the power to slip your form to the bottom of the pile no problem. This is a privilege here, not a right. "Hi, I noticed my application has been in processing for a while. I'm calling to make sure you have all the paperwork you need and you're not waiting on anything from me? No? Just a busy time of year huh? Ok, thank you for your time. Please call me anytime on my cell number if you have any questions or need more information."
