What should I do ??

If I had to pick one Jon it would be the 30/30,260 is a nice caliber
to have and the 30/06 is much to versatile.Everyone needs a 22 for
plinking,the cheap ammo option.Regards Pete

Dump the 30-30 (IMHO - not really that effective or necessarily accuate either);

- with a .264 cal in a stainless syn Model 7; you got deer covered, for open areas, heavy cover and to boot under crappy weather with no worries;

- with the 30.06 you have the bigger stuff like moose or even elk covered nicely.

my 2 cents,

Actually you've got it all wrong.
You must find another 2 rifles to buy. :p
But since you're going to get all "rational" on us then drop the 30-30.
If you really need quick follow-ups the BAR in 30-06 will do fine.
And having read a study on brush guns bullet mass means more than anything else.
Your .260 will do it fine with a heavy RN.
If it's a Model 7 it shouldn't be real long anyway.

Well I guess I should just keep them all and possibly add a few........ must have been a brain fart to think I should get rid of any.......... I realize the 3030 may be a little excessive to my needs (and Doug I did give the .32 a new home..................wish I hadn't) but it does feel nice and look good in the stainless !!!!!!! Thanks guys, a real help ..........lol

um, one other point to bring up... I always like to have at least one scopeless or "long walk" rifle. I've currently got two: a 30/30 and a .303... That's the advantage of keeping your 30/30..(light, fast aquisition in the bush, and reliable). Since I'm a 6.5x55 shooter, I'd say dump the BAR and invest some money in reloading gear. Your .260will be fine (and with you reloading, you'll shoot more, which is what matters for shot placement) and your collection will endure. However (oh god, it's taking over - can't -type) I agree you need a .338, a few handguns, a .17 hmr, a varmint machine .223 and .22-250, some sorta black rifle, and a few pump shotguns. :) Phew, that was tough. LOL

my .04
