What size of red dot for Pistol

I have both 3 and 6 moa RDS on a couple 9mm pistols.
both are great and easy to locate, it's not like the 3 moa is too small and 6 moa too large.
Theoretically the 3 moa should produce a bit more precision and the 6 moa better for faster target acquisition.
I don't have issue with either but am thinking of swapping my 6 for a 3 just to keep it consistent.
at 50 yards it's a 1.5" difference between the 2

I would pick the smaller dot for greater precision. If you want to make it faster to pick up, you can turn up the brightness.

I enjoy my Burris Fastfire III. It has a 3 MOA dot, and 4 brightness settings.
Auto, High, Medium, and Low. It is pictured here on my Smith Model 41

I have an ITAC Defence 4 MOA red dot on my Ruger MKIII, It has 10 or 11 brightness settings.
I don't mind it but I prefer smaller dots.

One day I wish to try a 2 MOA dot size.
