What size rings for 50mm on Xbolt?

Hey everyone,
I have a browning xbolt and want to buy a 50mm Zeiss scope, anyone know from experience which talley rings to buy?
Browning says the medium rings for 50mm and high for 56mm, just want confirmation before buying them. Most people keep saying to buy the high rings.

buy whatever that will fit the rifle.
in my mind medium will work just fine with picatiny rail system. would hate to put on high and make your scope float like clouds.
I have a 50mm scope that is mounted of t3 lites and it uses low rings. the scope is about 1mm away from the rifle.. little too close to my liking but its the bush gun and works just fine.
