I plan on taking the M14 on a longer hunting trip.
I usually take the Mauser on the longer ones when back-up guns are just not practical. And I know what parts to take for the Mauser...

For the relatively new (to me) M14 I'm not so sure about what could break and would be practical to fix in the field.
