Hey guys,
Currently in the midst of a build. Have a Beven King 1.25" straight contour (no taper) 23" spiral fluted barrel on a stiller tac30. Trying to decide on a stock that will balance out this big chunk of metal. Let's see what everyone has for pictures and suggestions!!

Thanks
Ben

I'm guessing your question might be better placed in the Target and Precision forum. Most of us over here are running MTU profile or smaller.

But.. if you're going for a tactical build the MacMillan A5 forends are pretty wide, I bet they would support a straight contour. Any of the chassis systems should work as well.

If you're just looking to shoot prone or off of the bench, there are a lot of great F-class stocks. Google F-Open or F-TR stocks.

I just picked up a Savage Model 11HB .223 in an MDT HS3 chassis. It's sort of heavy, but for a factory heavy barrel it shoots like a d@mn. Managed a 5 shot string today that was just a hair over 1/2" @ 100yds in a 20-35km/h crosswind.
I bought it as a means of prepping for F-Class and TR on the cheap.

23" is quite manageable, when you trying to throw around a 30-32" behemoth balance becomes tricky.
That being said, two things you could look for:
1) long forend will help make it less front heavy on bags or bipod.
2) composite or laminate stock, easier to drill out and add lead weights than a chassis.
