I like to shoot paper targets primarily and from time to time, I change the typ of target I use. I understand that everyone has their preferences and would like to see some variety if possible with a quick mention of why you prefer this target for a specific purpose. I typically like to use targets that are visible at 100 yrds but try to avoid black markings because it is hard to see the holes against the black background. The problem is that gray is sometimes hard to see. Please post some pictures of your favorite targets so we can get some ideas.

Thanks...

Ever been to a dynamite shoot? Nothing beats that!!!

Mostly I print targets off the net. 100's to choose from but the links are all on my currently dead computer. Which is starting to look like a viable target itself this week. :(

I like reactive targets, as in the ones that spray their guts and fur in a 180 degree arc from atop their dirt mounds.

I also like the new .4 MOA ICFRA Targets, especially with a bright red square on the 3 o'clock position of the target frame :)

In all seriousness, I tend to default to using the same targets with which I compete in f-class. At 300M in low mirage, 6mm bullets holes are clearly visible with a good 36 or 42X scope

Big round black aiming mark, needed for aperture sights with the bulleye in the middle. I don't care how big the bull or V Bull is as long as everyone I am shooting against is shooting the same size target.

I have several that I designed myself, but they do have black on them. If you are interested, send me a PM, I will send you samples. Regards, Eagleye.

Quite a few fellows use these with larger power scope or spotting scope you can see bullets holes pretty good to 300 yards, nice for adjusting scope to center, each square

Thanks to everyone. This was a great response. My goal is actually to establish a most common and popular pattern which I will use to create targets for my club. I will be providing them free but will put my company logo in the corner for promotional consideration. It is a cost affective method of advertizing which will support the club and members at the same time. I don't want to use too many different patterns as it will be more costly for me.

Thanks again for all the feedback. Happy and safe shooting:ar15:
