What the diff with brass

"...difference in rifle brass..." The difference in what rifle brass? Between the assorted manufacturer's? Mostly the alloy used and thickness of the brass.
Federal, for example, is known for being softer than other brands. Doesn't last as long.

you're going to HAVE to be more SPECIFIC than that- do you mean between brands, or just rifle brass in general as opposed to pistol brass?- i can tell you this- rifle brass has THICKER WALLS as opposed to pistol brass, which means you can load "hotter" - if you're talking between brands, again it's case wall thickness as well as COMPOSITION

the different walll thicknesses and composition in rifle and/or pistol brass, means that the internal dimensions/capacity between different brands, even different lots of the same brand of brass may be different, creating differences in pressure with the same powder charge/bullet/primer between brands or lots of brass.
