What the hell did I just buy?

Guy asked 140$ for this Remington 870 blued 20 inches barrel with rifle sights. Open bore, no choke threads, not rifled inside, plain bore.
We met in a McDonalds parking lot, paid him cash.

Not sure if it was a good deal, all I know is I've been looking for a shorter barrel for my wingmaster but all I could get were the parkerized finish. This one seems old but it never fired, i mean this barrel is brand new and there were no gunpowder at all in it. Almost no scratch.

Looks like you bought an older 2 3/4" blued 20 " 870 rifle sighted barrel.
Is it a CYL choke?

$140 is a good price.

There's no choke in it, no thread, just plain open barrel.

Its a fixed improved choke. I have the same barrel. Its shoots Winchester Rackmaster rifled slugs into three shot cloverleafs at 50m and 4" groups at 100m. I use it for pushing deer, works really slick. Because its smoothbore I can also pop grouse with it while deer hunting.

Older 870 slug barrel. Nice find!! The star stamp, sights and markings look 70's to me.

The new 870 barrels in the plastic forms are about $200 and are express quality, bulk buck and slugs are 2 3/4", 3" is really pricey. You know you did well and are just gloating.

Holy crap that's awesome then. I recommend joining your local firearm trade and sell on Facebook. It's where I found it, it was raining hard and that was a weird deal and the guy sounded like a douche on phone. Was worth it after all. I'm so happy, now I need a 20 inches magazine extender that's flush with the barrel
