So me and my dad have just gotten into this whole shooting business. So we are starting to take our guns out to the range (marlin golden 39a, cooey 64b, and Marlin 30as 30-30) and I was wondering what are all of the things That I should bring to the range, so far our list consists of:
-Toilet paper (after the first time we didn't make that mistake again!)
-Various tools (pliers, screwdriver, allen keys)
-Paper towel
-Blanket
-Box to use as a gun rest (until we get a bipod or a proper gun rest)
-ammo (of course)
-extra mags (for applicable wepons)
-binoculars
-targets
-staple gun
-safety glasses
-ear plugs/muffs

I think we have an ok range bag going but im going to check with the knowledgeable ones.

That stuff will get the crap off but probably won't wash any lead residue off, although I could be wrong.

Just remember, wipe with your left hand, then do everything else with your right :D

Ya our range has a toilet, one of those sheds with the hole over the pit lol. Food and water would be a good idea, and the hand sanitizer is also a good idea. And bug spray and sunscreen. Thanks for the help guys!

I would add:
Extra staples - amazing how useless a staple gun becomes without them
Masking tape - tape down targets, cover up bullet holes in targets
Pen/Paper/Sharpie Marker - I usually take notes on my shooting (weather conditions, groupings, elevation and windage used etc).
Cleaning kit essentials - Sometimes I'll clean before I'll go home or sometimes an accuracy / funtion problem can be cured with a bit of cleaning
Spare trigger lock / case lock keys - I have my locks keyed alike and will always have a spare key in my bag (has come in handy more than once)
Spotting scope / binoculars - saves some time walking downrange to check targets

Bug spray, first aid and sun screen are excellent suggestions.

Ya we already got binoculars, we have a tonne of staples so thats good, masking tape and pens are a good idea, we're not really looking to go out there and try every type of ammo to see what works the absolute greatest in our guns, were just going to get them to shoot straight, and have a good time. And we really don't need to clean our guns at the range, were maybe 20 minutes from the range so it doesen't bother us that much.
