What to hunt on a small game licence in South East Ontario in early to mid June?

It appears that open season for grouse, rabbit, etc starts in Sept 15 for rabbits and grouse in most WMUs. Quite disappointing, but nevertheless, I am still keen on doing a hunting trip sometime in early June. What kind of small game animal am I allowed to hunt that is not subject to seasonal restrictions? These hunting regulations are extremely confusing, and despite having my Hunters education, I am quite unaware of what I can actually hunt all year around with minimal restrictions.

Any help is appreciated.

See the maps in The Summary for southern WMU's. Note in the top right corner of map 2. There's no small game open season between June 16 and Aug 31 north of this line. Follow that line across the province to Georgian Bay,then, check the regulations for definitions. Generally, pest destruction is the only excuse for possessing and/or discharging a firearm other than target shooting on a farm or gravel pit in a controlled manner in the north of the province.
South of that line,varmint/predator may be hunted on a small game permit all year,Crows, groundhogs and Coyotes being on the top of the list. Coyotes are all over the place. G'hogs, not so much, but, they can be found in pockets of farm country. There's caliber restrictions in many Counties and Regional Municipalities (no larger than .275 centerfire rifles). It's important to know the regulations found on P 91 of The Summary. It's all quite self explanatory.
