This is good shooting, but it doesn't look like 1/2 MOA, not even close to 1 MOA, probably 2 MOA, which is very acceptable for such a set up.

Keep an eye out for MO marked Mosins. Whether you believe it means Ministerstvo Oborony or otherwise, they are generally much better rifles.

Ok guys my bad i should have said 1 or 2 MOA at 100 yards which is what i meant ,not 1/2 moa.
But yes the kit and the cork bedding, action screw shimming, etc
did for sure greatly increased the accuracy of my Mosin PU sniper .
I believe the targets motha showed a mosin sniper can be accurate .
Next time I'm at the range (after covid shutdown)
ill try do the at least 2 moa again and take pics this time.
Thanks for keeping me honest !
Buy the way what's a "common op"

Well then! 2moa is absolutely possible with a good Mosin and someone who knows how to shoot them. Moa is likely possible with the right combo of rifle and ammo, but that ammo is not milsurp ball ammo fresh out of a spam can.

Hello Suther
Ok well I was sure it was Chinese surplus but might have been Russian
or silver tips. I have several mosins M 91 ,m38 ,m44,M39 Finn and a Finn M91 Capture SA
I have lots of all those three rounds.
I was sure it was under 2 inches at 100 yds.
Should took pics . Rested support hand on sandbag sitting from bench.
Next summer ill do more accurate tests with pics .
I was shocked how accurate that Mosin Pu sniper was after the accuracy kit install .
The guy who sold me this rifle said it was an original sniper with proper markings .
I think the kit (smith -sights) does what the Finns did when they fixed up the Mosins they capture ?
Almost as good as my N0 4 T
Last point I was on Army rifle teams for 15 years (FN C1 A1 days)
on the Army championship Mobile Command winning 4 man team in 1984.
I love shooting old rifles Milsurp WW 2 stuff
Stay Safe

The first pic is at 200M

I also found this in that thread I did on my sporter mosin.
