Hey,

Just wondering what gr. you guys choose to run in your Swiss Arms... 55gr or 62gr? I believe the barrel is 1:10 so I believe either one works BUT I am wondering if your gun tends to favor one over the other?

Thanks,

J

Normally 69 SMKs in my Swiss 1/10".

I tried some 70 gr Berger's and they stabilized at 50 yards. I'll run some tests out to 500 and see if they remain stable.

Thanks for the info guys!!!

What "range" of ammo can you run in a 1:10 barrel?

You can run anything from the lightest bullet you can find right up to 69 gr SMK's. I run the 69's in my 1/10" Swiss.

I did some testing with 70 gr Bergers and they seemed to stabilize just fine at 50 yards. The real question is will they remain stable at 500 yards?

If I can get the bergers to work they are a superior bullet in my mind.

BC of the Berger 70 gr VLD: .371
BC for the 69 gr SMK: .317

I have tried the 75 gr hornady steel match and had good results at 200 m and 300 yards in both a black special and a carbine. I have tried 55 gr 62 gr 69 smk all seem to work well when i do my part properly.

The 63 grain RUAG ammo I bought for mine shot like crap as fireball has stated. However the 62 American Eagle was 1 moa, 5 rounds 100 yards.
