Title is self explanatory. Pics would be good as well as performance and anything else you want to add.I'm looking into a 6.5-06 or a .257 Ackley improved so any thought on those would be a bonus.

Mine is a 25/284. Short action Sako A2 similar ballistics to a 25/06 with less powder and a nice compact rifle. Launches an 85 grain nosler balistic tip at 3500 fps with space left to spare, like dynamite on varmints! Use a 115 partion on deer @ 3000 fps awsome results. Should try an accubond but have such great results as is it's hard to change. Simply neck down and trim and your ready to go. I'm not sure there's a great advantage to a 6.5-06 over the 6.5x55. If you use the 6.5x55 in a modern rifle you can make very serious improvements over the published data if you work up CAREFULLY and use a Chrony to monitor your results.

2 - 22Br's 243 Ack 7-08 Ack 280 Ack 6/284 Building a 338 - 06 I have a 6.5 heavy barrel sitting here but can't decide on the case I'm going to use. I'm leaning to the 6.5x47. It will be a paper gun so I'm not concerned about killing power. I personally think that the 6.5-06 would be an excellent choice for an all round hunting gun.

350WSM - just a necked up 300WSM or 325WSM to take a .358" pill. It's a pretty versatile big game gun. I'm just getting going with accuracy work this month I hope. But power levels are quite respectable as I had predicted and one can see from my initial tests here - http://35cal.com/ruger77_350wsm.html

Wildcat

Mine is a 6.5-270WSM, I have been working with the completed rifle for about a month now, so far I am happy with the results.

I am looking for another 6.5 or 6mm wildcat to start working on, anyone have suggestions?

I have a 22-250 Ackley Improved.

It's built on a Remington 700 action, wihtr a 26" heavty barrel, and a Macmllan stock, topped wiht a 6-24 Elite 4200...

I think I am going to sell it, as I don't use it much, although it's very accurate.

I just sold a 223AI. I may do another some day.

Currently have a 375/338Chatfield-Taylor in the works. Nothing special there, just an H&H in a different container.

I had a 6.5/06, but the fellow that did the stock for me did such a crappy job I sold it. I don't see any real advantage of the 6.5/06 over the 270Win.

The 257AI pretty much duplicated the 25/06, but offers more "cool factor" as does any wildcat over the factory equivalent. I have a regular 257Roberts. I was thinking about adding the AI treatment to it, but am so pleased with it as is, I'm not changing it. It gets over 3100fps with 100gr boolits. :D

375-06 imp

i have a 375-06 imp on a turkish mauser.
2370 fps with 270 hornadys.

i've had a few others 30-06 imp i liked and man did that one shoot.
also had a 375-350rem i think i'll get that one back..

but my fav was the 6x45 20" light weight on a 700 adl. i have the reamer for that one and a barrel ready to go. i just cant force myself to take the 223 barrel off my sako/browning or the tikka m55 in 222.

oh yeah and i'm looking for a 30-338 reamer so i can build a sendero type rifle
also have a 257 imp reamer waiting for a barrel and action. and i have dies for a 7tcu so i guess i'll have to try that one as well.

so many guns and not enough money..

First is a "2R Lovell". A wildcat from the 30's & kinda the illegitimate father of the 222. A sweet old 22 on a small frame Martini action.

Second is a 577-450 Improved. Built on a large frame Martini of original 577-450 caliber, it has had its shoulder moved forward leaving only 1/2" of neck. The cartridges hold 165 grains of fg Goex under a 475 grain bullet.:D Suspect Ellwood Epps himself may have had something to do with this as I have heard he fettled a bit with this cartridge long ago.
Lotsa kick & lotsa smoke & lotsa lead. :D:D:D
