What will I need to scope my 340?

I was wondering if any one could help me out by giving me the part #'s of the weaver side mount, bases and rings that I will need to mount the scope to my Savage 340 30-30.

You need side mount base No 1 and a set of side mount rings. The come in high/short and high/long, I had the short ones on my 340 in 222Rem and my dad has the same on his 340 in 30-30. A 40mm objective is about as big as you can go with this setup (maybe a bit more depending on the manufacturer).

I have a 3-9x40 Bushnell sportsman to go on it. So I guess I'm safe there.
What is the difference with the high/short and the high/long rings?

I would use the b-square mount. You get it at districorp.
