What’s your first purchase after the ban is over? And yes I do believe the liberals will lose the next election on october,20/2025 and whoever takes power will push the amnesty period that’s supposed to end October,30/2025 for another year while it’s debated in the house and eventually be lifted and after that we’ll see some kind of unwinding of the craziness. Maybe a few things will stay on the list, but I do believe this isn’t going to go through.

So mine is the S&W 686 international. That’s the only thing I wanted before things kicked off a few years ago.

a fckn plane ticket
Yea i dont mean to be a downer, even when pp wins and reverses the bans were just gonna be where we were 5 years ago. No right to self defense, mag limits, property rights or firearm rights. After his term is up and an ndp or lib gets in again guns are the easy wedge issue and were gonna be where we always end up. Been that way since the 70s. If firearms are truly that important to you then spend this next year trying to immigrate. I know thats what ill be doing

I'm not going to buy anything at first.

I'm going to very selectively sell most of what I have that was banned to people who will benefit the most from what I had for a price they will always know was fair.

I'll keep only the cream of the crop of what I have for myself and my children, be grateful for every moment of time on the range with them, and commit the rest of my life to teaching the next generation of young shooters everything I know as a former Canadian Army SAT Operator, hunter, USPSA 3-Gun competitor, IDPA Marksman, Bullseye shooter, Swiss Rifle Sharpshooter, and passionate pistol and rifle reloader.

... and in the process, when I find a gun that fills a niche I seek to master, after very careful deliberation and budgeting, then and only then will I buy something new... and never take it for granted.

My thoughts are similar. My plan was to have a semi and a revolver for each of my boys to pass on in the event they can’t make a purchase in the future. I have a 460 smith right now and i’d add the 686 int and probably won’t shoot it. My oldest wants to compete in ipsc so we’ll be adding something adequate to get him started there as well.

The ban is not going to end.
The CPC is globalist supporting party. This is Agenda 2030.
While there are good MPs the CPC is controlled by the same globalists as the Liberals
Pierre is not coming to save Canada.

I have a 625 I bought back in 2010 that sat as a safe queen until I got into Swiss competitions this past year.

Absolute unicorn of a gun.

I only got it because I was browsing the web at 2 in the morning while putting my eldest daughter to sleep when she was a baby.

I reload every morning in my shop with my autistic daughter and qualified for a Sharpshooter medal with it with loads she helped me develop.

It's an absolute tack driver at 25 meters.

Definitely will be keeping my eye out for another .45ACP moon clip revolver, although I know finding one will probably be like finding a needle in a hayfield.
