I have a Model 88 in .284 win in great shape, and I have a model 100 in .284 win that is in mint.

The model 100 has had maybe 60 rounds through the barrel.

I dont think I'd ever part with them, just curious as to how much there worth, seeing as there dont seem to be a whole lot of them around.

Thanx,

Potshot

$850-$1000 for the 88

The 100 would depend on if the factory recall part was installed. Think it was some thing to due with the bolt or sear. There's a stamp inside the receiver if its been done.

It was the firing pin. recall on the 100. they bring higher prices if they were carbines . this thread is simply for entertainment and really has nothing to do with the two firearms listed by potshot 21 I'm sure he knows what they are worth or what he thinks they are worth. Model 88 $900-$1400- Model 100 $700- $900 that being said I doubt that you could retrieve those prices in this country

Geeeze a 284

Geeze noneck180, if in your humble opinion an 88 is worth 800.-1000. you'd better grab it. For that money I could build one(284) on a 70 pre64 action.
Buy it and enjoy. Bill

Thats amazing, I never would have thought they'd be worth that much! Something I've always been curious about.

Although I'll never part with them, as they are both ancesteral rifles, passed down from generation to generation, this info kinda makes me start to wonder!;)

And yes, the Model 100 had a recall on the firing pin and it was installed by a local gunsmith for me. Another thing about the 100 is it seems to have less than desirable extractor, as it was replaced once already, and appears to still be missing casings on the first try.

Thanks for the info guys,

Potshot
