Whats a 14" stepcut A2 armalite safe queen worth??

im considering selling a few of my 14" stepcut A2 armalites, but am unsure what they're worth these days, i heard they're no longer allowed in from the states... should also add they have never been fired, were bought as project builds that never happened.

so any ideas on their worth...

Entire gun should fetch a little more than $1400. I'd say around $1600-$1800. Armalites, matching uppers and lowers are hard to come by.

Anyone know have any info as to why Armalites aren't b eing imported anymore? Is it because they haven't renewed they're export permits? Shed some light if you know anything.

Doubt it. Stock A2 carbine? I'd say $1300 to $1400 is more feasible. You could put it out there for 16-18 but it'd probably sit around forever. Maybe some sucker would buy it.

Is it marked 5.56mm NATO on the receiver?
What is the barrel twist rate?
What is the chamber (5.56mm or .223 Rem)?
Chrome lined? Chrome Bore? MP tested?
Auto Bolt carrier or Semi Auto?
It is an A2 upper (carry handle) right? Not a flat top.

All this plays a part in the value.

from the top of my head, they are chrome lined 14" step cut m4 style barrels with bayo lug, A2 fixed carry handle. and yes they are COMPLETE AR's NOT BUILDS.

i'll have to pull them out and check on the chamber markings, MP Tested i have no idea.

yeah i prefer the fixed handle as opposed to an m4, but i figured as much that an m4 flat top may go for more. but at the time i paid after taxes about 1500 from wolverine and kinda hope to get at least somthing like that out of it, if not well i dont mind keeping them...

Most people are the opposite in wanting flat top for all those fancy optics lol. Thats one of the main reasons why I do not think you could get 1400-1500 for it. If you dont need the cash hang on to them and enjoy them. I really enjoy shooting irons but I would not consider buying a fixed handle.

sound advice:). yeah i guess im old school:redface: when it comes to irons...

Like a manual transmission on a car? Perhaps. But as with cars, the vast majority of the population will still prefer an automatic transmission, and that will determine demand and your price at the end.

As long as there are still 14.5" flattop guns readily available, be prepared to settle on a price below that.
 
Wait a decade or so an they will come into vogue. Everything seems to come back in demand sooner or later.

OR go get two stripped Armalite factory flat top receivers ($186.20 ea) and swap them out. The rifles would increase in value and you could definitely sell stripped carry handle uppers for probably $80-100 a piece.
