I own both, in both 9mm and 40.
I don't know about quality. I would have to examine the records of agencies who had these pistols to decide which was the better made gun.
For me, the Glock has a better stock trigger (slightly better) but the M&P with Apex is outstanding.
The M&P feels better in my hand.
Of 30+ pistols, the M&P is the one that draws from the holster and hits the most accurately, quickly. It is a cheap pistol, lacking character - but for me it works the best.
