What's a bolt action 10 gauge Marlin Super Goose going for these days?

Is there one you are looking at to buy
Cheers

Not at the moment.

If I saw the right one, I might move another gun or two to get it.

My great-uncle had one when I was a kid and it was a legendary destroyer of PEI's Canada goose population.

I'm fully aware that, deep down, they're craptastic. But hey, when has that ever stopped a gun from being cool?

I hear you :)
I owned one of the model 55's in 12 ga and it worked fairly well so at the time I thought the right move was to upgrade to a 10ga super goose some where in the late 70's I think . I ordered one new but mine didnot function well at all and was pretty much a good single shot. I have tinkered with guns all my life and can usually fix any issues but I could never get that 10ga to cycle 100%.
My 12ga had a poly choke and the 10ga a fixed full choke which I think most if not all of them had . I traded it for an old 10ga SXS which was the best move I could have made at the time
I see them for sale the odd time in the $350-450 range pending condition and if it has the factory leather sling still fitted but one has to remember these old 10ga's are not choked for steel shot. I would not pay that for one nor would I sell any good guns to get one.
IMO I killed a hell of a lot more PEI geese with my old sp-10 than I ever did with the old super goose which is why I later kicked my ass for selling it and have since replaced it. This sp-10 will die with me as will my browning golds
Just my 2 cents
