Whats a good brand for scope Rings & base??

Im hoping to mount a bushnell-tactical-elite on my Remington 700 BDL-7mmremmag, and Winchester 70 classic also in 7mmremmag... BUT whats a good brand Rings & Base, and where to buy???

Im thinking a One piece Base

It is basically a budget dictated decision.

I would suggest that something in Weaver for the base and Burris Signature Zee rings.

Weaver because they have a large product line , not over the top prices and good quality.

The Burris rings because they allow ease of installation , have tuning options if needed and do not mark your scope tube.

I would guess that $120.00 should get you both.

Don't think Burris does a 1 piece. EGW is another option I have had success with for bases.

If you like pricey, check out the Near Alpha Hunter, it combines the rings and base in a single unit for ultimate strength and is beautifully finished. But for a regular hunting rifle, I would probably choose a military style Pic rail as the multiple mounting points provide the greatest latitude for locating the scope. Choose the rings of your preference, that provide enough height for the diameter of the bell of your scope.
 
yes I like the idea of the military style pic-rail, probably something like the ATRS or nightforce 1-peice rail, and a set of burris or millet rings?

What's wrong with weaver one piece base? Just wondering. I got one from mystic precision and haven't installed it yet. If there's something wrong with them I'll get something else. Pls let me know.
 
I like Leupold rings and bases. You can get super-low rings. They do have both one pc and two pc bases for some rifles. Burris rings are good, Redfield too. No Weaver stuff for me, no-sir-e!;)

I am surprised nobody has mentioned Near Mfg yet. IMHO they are better than Badger as they seem to be completely anal about precision, but they are very expensive and will custom match your scope to your rifle. They also are right here in Canada, Camrose Alberta!
