I just picked up a Tikka m595 in 22-250.
Anyone out there that has a good load for this gun?
Just want to get an idea what bullet weights work good in these guns.
Thanks

Tried some 55gr vmax this weekend and they shot pretty good. Also tried some 69gr lapua ,60gr bergers and vmax but they didnt shoot good at all.I'll try some more 55gr vmax and also 52gr next time.

not surprising, that 14" twist is unlikely to shoot anything 60gr. and over.

55gr. seems just right as you have witnessed.

I cant wait to get my hands on 8208 for my 22-250

I dont have a tikka but mine likes 4064, 4320 and blc-2 to a lesser degree. Lots of medium range powders work well in this one.

I've used a lot of different powders in the '250, from IMR3031 to 4320, 4350, N203, H335, etc, and I've settled on TAC. Clean burning, easy to meter, and you can get top velocities from it using 50-55gr bullets.

Nosler 50 grs. Balistic Tip with 39 grs. H414 powder, equals 1" groups at 300 yards, in my Tikka 22-250, left-hand.

I had to check my barrel when I got home from work.I didnt
know that Tikka had a 1:14 twist. My CZ don't like anything over 40gr
with the same twist.I might have to try some 50gr also.
