Doing my BB tomorrow, and have a duffel bag, but it sucks, I think one of those reusable grocery bags is going to be used instead of the duffel bag.

So what's a good bag? Not trying to spend a lot, but need something that is actually useful.

Thanks,

I've used a 511 Tactical for a few years now and I've seen no reason to change. This is the full size bag, not the "range ready" bag which is smaller.

I have a Shooters Connection bag that works really well.
I bought it off Len at Phoenix - Support your IPSC Alberta sponsors!!

There are a lot of good bags out there. Some have more pockets & little features than others, but in the end they all do the same thing - they allow you to carry all your $hit in one hand (or on your shoulder) to the range.

The only thing I will caution you of is to not get too big a bag - you will only carry too much $hit to the range.

+1 I like the CED bags, the Shooters Connection bags are great but too big for me. I don't like 5.11 bags, they are well made but generally not lockable (same with the Uncle Mikes). Lockable bags are a big bonus for travel.

green mountain for short trip matches ... shooters connection deluxe for those matches that require flight

I used the 511 range bag for 3-years. It is sitting in my basement right now. It is not as strong as SC bag. The zipper sucks (I have it replaced in the 2nd year) and the material is flimsy compared to Shooter's connection range bag. For the same amount of $$ I will go with Shooter's connection. Plus 1 on the CED bag as well.

Agree with the tool bag, I use one from Home Depot as my range bag (Kuny's). Works great, has lots of pockets for mags, tools, parts, etc.

Tool bags also deal with with the weight of ammo very well.

If you want a cheap good range bag.....

I got a big sports bag from Bentley at the mall for all of $20, not rigid but a $3.50 plastic storage box from Ikea solved that problem, it's as big as many of the expensive range bags and has lots of exterior pockets.

And the biggest advantage - it's blue, not black so it's easily discernable amongst the 15 other black range bags at IPSC practice night!!

I've used this for 6 years and it's held up just fine.

I have been using a 5.11 range bag for about 5 or 6 years...had to replace the zipper last year,..but other than that it does the job.
