what's a good rimfire for a young kid to start on

My daughter saw one of these and that's what she wants. I'm just wondering if its a one tougher to shoot from a rest and capable of squashing little fingers? She is 7.5 and about average sized.

Neither of my girls have ever got pinched by it. Even the hammer doesn't bite lol. She's 5 and loaded and shot it prob 60 times yesterday.
