Is there a difference in performance, other than slight difference in looks? Main purpose will be for pleasure shooting, not competition or bullzeye.

Basically yea it's the slide that is a lot more thicker for the Brigadier and the handle that is more like a 1911 for the Vertec.

The Vertec also have a safety with the decocker (Only the decoker for the Brigadier) and an accessories rail under.

I do have the Elitte II and my friend have the Vertec. We both do some IPSC with them. We sometimes exchange the slide for fun but keep our lower...

I'd say the main difference would be that you have to love the grip of the 1911 (Vertec) Handel compare to the other Beretta. You will need to try both to find out. I do not personally like the feeling of the 1911 but this is only a personal matter. There is also a difference in the trigger pull were the Vertec is a bit longer than mine.

Both are great quality guns !!

if you have small hands Vertec would probably fit you better. I prefer the looks of the Brigadier...

btw: I think Brigadier can have safety/deckoler, some (G models) are deckocker only.

Yep, Lugger is right (should have mention it  ) there is "F" model with the Brigadier slide. Still have to see one yet...
Most of them (Brigadier's slide) comes with the regular "G" slide. Regarding the "F" version, i only saw some pictures but never took one.

I guess you can order the "F" slide but wondering why there seems to be only "G" model on the market. Wondering if anybody here have one?

unfotunatelly both Vertec and Brigadier models have been discontinued...:(

but on the plus side the new 90two has a heavier slide, rail and you can get a smaller grip for it.

only the Elite models of the Brig have decocker only. regular Brigs have safety/decockers
