What's in your hunting Pack

Right now in my bag:

Tags, MSR stove, first aid kit, headlamp, GPS, two glowsticks, matches, quick oats, knife, MSR cookpot, ziplok bags (actually organ bags, they're 10 mil:D) heavy duty twine, 6 carbiners, and this really small really light, crank radio (I found it somewhere or other, maybe walmart, and was amazed how light it was, so I grabbed it) small Msr fuel bottle full, fiskars axe, tp, vuade refuge,

this is my setup for a bigger day hunt,

I also have a grab bag, ...just take the tags form my bigger pack, throw them in and I'm set for a day hunt...

The only reason I mention MSR is so you don't think I'm carrying BBQ in there:D,

I am waterfowler primarily except for the occasional grouse hunt so in mine there is

Chokes and Wrench
Gun Cleaning Rod
Rem-Oil

Folding Knife

And 3 slugs in the shell loops in case a bear wanders into the decoy spread a little too close!

Assuming “PACK” means day pack, everything is personal and weight dependant.
Everything depends on how far you are from your camp, truck or “Hotel”.
Ziplocs are great organizers that may never be needed for a number of years
If hunting with a buddy, then the load can be shared.
Everyone had great ideas and if it is deserving of a “Sticky” - there is no copyright.

Think that's about it. machette and water are on the belt, and I'm good to go.

I'm going to drink a sixer of Heineken and make one of those alcohol burning penny stoves this weekend to go in the pack.

The stove and a bit of emergency fuel weighs no more than a couple of ounces. Thank you interwebs!
