I'd like to get a larger caliber upper for my AR but I can't find any of the ones I want locally... and since the upper is technically not considered the actual firearm what's involved in getting one over the border? Is it straight forward or am I better off having Questar handling the deal?

Upper in question is probably a 6.5 Grendel from Alexander Arms... or if someone knows of an alternative already available in Canada I'd love to hear it.

You need to get a US export permit, good luck!!!! If Questar can handle the deal, let them do it, for the price he will charge you to get it done it will be well worth it.

Added: most items relating to firearms are now under this rule, from plastic stocks to optics....
