I have been following this thread with some interest. What about the .375 dakota and that case necked up.I would deliver the same powder capacity as a inproved H&H case and fit in a Mauser magazine. I am not sure what you would have to do to get the thing to fed properly or would you have to make a cutom wider magazine. Would it be a major hassle compared to the standard magnum?

Rail work, bolt face, bolt stop, ejector, and magazine box work (on a 98 action), plus rehardening if required Al. As I said, it's doable, but not cheap if you have to hire out the work. - dan
