Hello GunNutters, looking at selling my Thompson Center Prohunter in 204 (pictured). It is 2 years old and has been babied - ~1500 rounds down the pipe. Used it in the Regina Nations HV benchrest matches this summer - it shot .8986" agg groupings in 100 yards and 1.1103" agg groupings in 200 yards - it is a shooter!
They are ~ $1000.00 new - what would be a fair price for both seller and buyer?
Thanks for your time.
Cheers

Unless a gun is very hard to find new from a dealer with a tolerable waiting period, I would think the buyer is silly to give more than 80% of the typical new price for a gun in "very good" condition. 1500 rounds of .204 should leave a lot of useful service life still in that barrel. If I couldn't get 60% of new price for that, I'd have to be desperate for immediate cash or I'd just hang on to it until the right buyer did show up. So I guess somewhere between 60 and 80 % of new price would be where I would place it.

But as long as you and the buyer agree on it, any price is the right price.
