I hate this type of thread, but here goes anyways...
I've never shot it and am considering selling it.
So, as you can see in the photo, it's a 5.56 VZ58 with 11.8 inch barrel. I replaced the black plastic furniture with claro walnut from Ironwood Designs. And I replaced the rear sight with a Rauch peep sight, and replaced the muzzle brake. Casey at Tactical Ordnance did the machining and installation of the magwell adapter. I still have the original sight and brake which would be included if I sell the gun. I no longer have the original furniture and magazines. I would not be selling the LAR15 mags or sling.
I bought the gun from Wolverine around Feb/12. IIRC they were priced at $799 at the time. It was definitely less than the original retail price, and had been marked down once. But it was long before Wolverine sold their remaining stock at, what was it, $399? Also spent a couple hundred on the furniture and peep sight. The magwell was done at no charge to me.
No way I'll get what I put into it. But if the Wolverine clearance sale killed the resale value it's not gonna be worth selling if I can only get four hundred for it. So, what's it worth realistically?
