Tell me more about your annealing system please! Looks interesting. Lee pot with Pid and?

Well it's a real simple process and it's a low cost solution that works. Total investment is around $200 CDN and can be found here in Canada https://ballisticrecreations.ca/ It appears to give consistent results and neck tensions on my brass, all my SD's and ES's are in the single digits every time so I know it's working. I have some Lapua brass that's on 16 firings and the brass is still in good shape . My Creedmoor is shooting .3MOA consistently so whatever I'm doing is working real good.

.223 Rem. Just got 600 77gr Lapua scenar bullets for free. but now as I'm using D8208XBR I have to do a complete ladder test. I normally use the SPEER 55SP that I get in the 1K batch lots.

Loading a couple of 223 test loads.

I have a question because I am confused by the cooling process.
Generally when a material is heated up quickly and then cooled slowly, it is annealed.
And generally when it is cooled quickly it is tempered.

So IMO to anneal the brass it should be left on a tray to slowly cool, as some flame annealers show, (although other flame annealing videos show the brass dumped in a pail of water)...

I am assuming when people use the AMP annealer they do not put the brass in water, just set it aside to cool.

When I see them dumped in pails of water, I am thinking you just tempered it...

Please advise. Thanks

Just did up some of the original 10mm, the 38-40. Now to process way too much 223 brass. Sigh. - dan

I also loaded up some 10mm
165gr Serra jhp with CFE pistol
Remington brass was a little off,, new but
Needed to be trimmed to get that consistent crimp..
Like to seat and crimp at the same time..

One of my buddies does a little alleaning for me , sure feel.the difference on the press. Good step to take.

Just finished loading up a ladder test for .35 Whelen. 250gr Speer bullets in front of CFE223. Should be a neat test, the Speer load data shows this load is pretty outrageous at 2660 fps.

I also have a .270 Winchester loading that'll undergo seating depth testing. 140gr Berger Classic Hunters over StaBALL 6.5. Was only getting 2820fps out of my BAR, book says 3050 at the same charge. But I'm also at 3.35" and the Federal Premium factory load with the same bullet is sitting at 3.20" so there might be something to play with there.

Next up is processing about 200 brass for .223. Another CFE223 loading, with the always classic 69gr Matchking.

Some 9mm as usual. I got a Lyman 9mm trim pilot off Amazon last week I’m going to trim some of my fired ivi 9mm blank cases and see how it goes. Probably start with a grinder and finish it off with the trimmer

On and off for the last couple of weeks it’s been 20 gauge target loads for me. Normally I load precision rifle and some pistol so shot shells are a nice change and new experience.

6.5x55 with speer 140gr sp #1441 with ramshot magnum, working up test loads - and some actual hunting loads using H4350 in case I don't have time or don't like ramshot mag.

8 mauser with 170gr hornady RN on top of cfe223 - iron sight deer destruction, going to be hunting in west coast jungle with my turkish mauser.
